HIGH SCHOOL/MIDDLE SCHOOL COUNSELOR - The Stevenson-Carson School District has the following opening for the 2017-2018 school year. This position will begin as a .6 FTE position, with the potential of transitioning into a full time position depending on state, federal and local funding.

We are looking for a professional School Counselor to help students prepare for academic achievement, ensure career readiness and develop personal or social competencies through a comprehensive, preventive and developmental counseling program. The goal is to ensure that students will become productive and well-adjusted adults.

School Bus Mechanic (full job description)
Full Time

The School Bus Mechanic will be determining needed repairs and/or replacements on district vehicles; ensuring the availability of vehicles in safe operating condition; and providing written documentation of repairs to meet local, state, and federal requirements.
Minimum Qualifications include: Completion of a recognized apprenticeship as a heavy duty bus mechanic or full journeyman status as a heavy duty truck and bus mechanic with four year of applicable work experience. Automotive Service Excellence (A.S.E.) Test for Master Mechanic. Five years’ diesel mechanic experience.

Building, Grounds and Maintenance Supervisor (full job description)
Full Time - 8 hours/day, year round position.

Under the direction of the Superintendent of Schools, oversees all functions and operations related to the upkeep, repair, and improvement of facilities and grounds; upgrades the effectiveness and efficiency of maintenance and custodial staff; coordinates all safety issues and training within the district; oversees the proper functioning of the various systems within the physical facilities of the district; designs and implements energy saving programs throughout the district; helps plan and oversee the bidding process of district projects (including development of bid specifications); helps develop budgets for capital outlay projects and other assignments as directed by the Superintendent.
Qualifications include: Possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License, Minimum High school diploma or equivalent, preferred Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree

FYS Adult Crew Leaders - Forest Youth Success is hiring Adult Crew Leaders to run 6-student work crews on a variety of outdoor labor projects. These positions are 40 hours/week from June 19th - August 18th. Must be 21 or older, with a good driving record. We are looking for leaders with experience working with at-risk teens, leading groups, knowledge of field biology, experience with trail work or construction, and/or group facilitation skills.
